A film shot based on the life of Argentina and Barcelona, Lionel Messi is set for release in Spain on New Year’s day.
The self-titled movie is directed by Alex de la Iglesia and has already premiered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last summer; it features Barcelona teammates, Andres Iniesta, Gerard Piqueand former coach Pep Guradiola.
The film narrates the life of Lionel Messi from just a boy who started playing his football with local club, Newell Old Boys into becoming the four time FIFA Ballon D’ Or winner and record breaker.
