Dr. Dre Is Building A Mammoth Recording Studio In His New $40 Million Mansion

In case you were wondering where all the money Dr. Dre made off of his mega-deal with Apple went — look no further.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the legendary rapper/producer is adding a 10,000 square foot recording studio beneath his Brentwood, CA mansion, and we can only imagine the magical collaborations that will undoubtedly take place there.
If Dre wanted, he could fit two basketball courts in that area and still have room for bleachers.
The entire property spans 20,000 square feet and includes a library, a gym, five bedrooms, a sauna and a whopping seven fireplaces.
Dre purchased the house — from Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen — for a reported $40 million, several days after the official announcement was made that Apple had acquired his popular Beats brand.
With the new addition, the Times alleges that the mansion may be worth nearly $50 million, now. Too bad MTV Cribs isn’t around anymore. We’d love to see what the hip-hop cash king is working on in his epic studio.
